Remove decorations: Before composting your pumpkin, ensure you remove any decorations, such as candles, plastic or non-organic materials. You can reuse or recycle these items if possible.

Break it down: Chop your pumpkin into smaller pieces. The smaller the pieces, the more you can fit in your bucket!

Wait for magic: Over time, the pumpkins will decompose and turn into nutrient-rich compost that can be used to fertilize a garden or houseplants.

These bags are designed to hold organic waste, making them perfect for those post-Halloween cleanup sessions. They are 100% compostable and will naturally break down in a composting environment making them perfect for any excess pumpkin scraps or other organic waste. If you don’t have any Bag to Earth bags, you can leave your pumpkin on top of your bucket on your pick-up day. We can pick-up your pumpkin for an extra material pick-up fee of $6 per pumpkin.
