Bootstrap Compost announces partnership with Town of Milton
Malden-based compost haulers bring premium service at affordable price to Milton residents
Milton, MA — Bootstrap Compost is excited to announce a new and unique partnership with the Town of Milton to provide premium home composting services at an affordable price. Starting in November 2022, Bootstrap will be offering their renowned and premium weekly clean bucket service for the new low price of $6 per week (the fee is $11 per week in other communities throughout the Greater Boston area).
This program was created to increase accessibility to their composting services to make it available to a wider swath of the community. According to Penny Hill, Bootstrap staffer and community ambassador for the company, “we are thrilled that Milton has shown a commitment to sustainability through promoting composting as the most effective step to reduce waste. Our new partnership with the town will allow us to engage the whole community in slaying food waste at an affordable price.”
Bootstrap has long prided themselves on being more than just a hauler, and their community involvement with Milton goes beyond just picking up food scraps. They are also partnering with Milton Grows, an initiative led by the Milton Public Library to promote gardening and sustainability. Bootstrap’s own in-house compost educator, Aaron Chism, will be participating in an event called “Let’s Compost,” in partnership with Sustainable Milton, to teach community members about the importance of composting and how they can do their part with Bootstrap’s help. The event will be at the library on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.
