Bootstrap is now selling ready-to-go vermicomposting bins. Perfect for classrooms and apartment dwellers, these 12-gallon [21.88 in. L x 16.3 in. W x 12.5 in. H] plastic bins (with an easily-removable lid with air holes) come complete with ~100 red wigglers, some yummy worm food, castings and newspaper. Under the right conditions, the Worm Box is capable of fostering a few thousand worms within months. The resulting product (worm poop or “castings,”) is a nutrient rich, all natural fertilizer teeming with microbial activity. Plants love it. Our Worm Box (just $30!) includes a how-to guide (which you can find here) for taking care of your new buddies, the formidable Eisenia foetida.
If you want to dig even deeper, contact us to receive a one-on-one workshop with a Bootstrap worm pro for an additional $75.
