After a 44-day self-imposed shut down, Bootstrap Compost resumed service on Monday, May 4, with a variety of new safety initiatives and procedures. Rest assured, our bucket slingers and warehouse staff will not be returning to the same Bootstrap they left. As waste haulers, we have been deemed an essential business by the state of Massachusetts and feel it is our duty to our community and the environment to resume service – in the safest way possible. For us, that means providing PPE for all of our employees, wiping down surfaces in the warehouse daily, disinfecting vehicles before and after each shift, social distancing and limiting capacity in our warehouse, and disinfecting the handle and lid of each bucket before it gets dropped on your doorstep.
As such, we kindly ask that you wipe down the lid and handle of your bucket when you place it outside for pickup. Additionally, please refrain from composting any used tissues to mitigate the risk of exposure to our staff.
With new safety procedures and social distancing efforts being implemented and prioritized, there are bound to be some hiccups and speed bumps! Please bear with us. We will do our absolute best to conduct service as smoothly and safely as possible. Please contact info@bootstrapcompost.com with any questions, comments or concerns, or click the Contact Us tab and leave us a message.
